Authority 1

I was going through a really challenging situation and The Lord spoke this Word to me. He said:

Rise Up

He was referring not just to the situation that was in front of me then; but to any and all situations that would come my way.  He had to remind me that I had let His promises slip and was not actively keeping His Word at the forefront of my situation. I had unhooked; which just means that I wasn’t using my armour. (Eph 6:10-18). I had been allowing my emotions and thoughts to override what His Word said. What I was seeing in the natural with my natural eyes, was bigger to me than what His Word said about my situation; so I repented and began to obeyed these verses.

Using my authority

It took me re-hooking my faith to His Word, His power, anointing, and grace. It was a battle, and at first it seemed like I was going under, but the more I put His Word first and spoke His Word over my situation, the less it seemed that the enemy would try to attack me with doubt and unbelief. I had to settled in my heart that Jesus had already won the battle for me and my job was just to trust Him and His Word and then believe what His Word says about me and my situation. This is when I started seeing the results and rest in my soul began to take hold and in the end I overcame and won the victory. God is so FAITHFUL!!!

I challenge you and encourage you today that if this is where you are at right now, to take the time to meditate and speak out His promises concerning you and your situation. Have a scripture that you are holding on to and every time a negative thought comes to you; make a conscious decision to recognize it for what it is and cast it down and refuse to allow it to stay in your thoughts. Then speak that scripture out loud and speak life over your LIFE. Don’t let the enemy in…and he won’t win.

If this has encouraged you today, comment and / or share.

Also, if you have a testimony and/ or praise report that you feel will bless others; post IT and I will post it in SCRIPTURE HOUSE PUBLICATIONS comments and testimonies and praise reports area. Be blessed today. Much Love and Prayers Carol Helmick

Was strongly impressed this morning to share this ~ “A FAITHFUL MAN” poem / Word with you today.  This poem/ Word came as I was sitting in the 2013 Week of Increase meeting at church. The Lord began stirring these words within me; while the Pastor was teaching.

I encourage you to stir yourself up and dig deeper into your relationship with The Lord. There is a mighty “move of God” that is taking place and Our Heavenly Father needs everyone in their place. We are each called to fulfill a certain role; each role being important.

Being ready to step out and to step into what He has been preparing us all for and being ready to do whatever it is that He needs for us to do.

He requires us to have faith in Him. Simply put, trusting Him and allowing Him to guide and direct our steps. Listening to His directions and doing them His way and with a good heart attitude. In doing so, He will be fulfilling His plans through us.

Be a faithful man

As you’re walking out your destiny, be encouraged today. Because, He is raising you up and putting you in your place; strategically placing you and putting you in your position. Being ready for use and utilizing your God-given gifts, talents and abilities that He has been molding and shaping within you all these years.

This isn’t a time to hold back or be in fear of the unknown… things that you don’t know about…or don’t understand!!! There are things within you that you don’t even know that you can do. However, your Heavenly Father knows that you can do and be whatever He needs for you to be; because He is the ONE who put all of those things in you; and He has been waiting for the right time for those things to be released.

Endeavor therefore, to be “A FAITHFUL MAN”. Also included in this is, women, teens, young adults and children. Allow Him to use you however, whenever and with whomever He wants to!!!!

Be blessed encouraged and stirred up today.  With Much love and prayers Carol Helmick.

my life

Because Jesus is our example of how our lives are to look…I started to think on this example that Jesus set for me to follow and how I live my life.

This is a simple poem, but the words carry so much meaning.

Act_10:34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

People would flock to Him and multitudes would surround Him. They all gathered around and watched His reactions; to see how He responded and what He would say. No matter who the person asking, the situation or circumstance presented: He was no respecter of persons and He always spoke the truth.

Eyes to see and ears to hear

When Jesus talked to people, He not only saw them through His physical eyes; He looked at them through spiritual eyes as well. By this I mean, He listened to what they had to say and how they were behaving and all the while; was listening to His Heavenly Father for the words to say to them and with what actions He was supposed to take concerning the situation.

He was looking at them on the outside, but His main concern was what was really going on, on the inside of them. They needed an answer and He knew that His Heavenly Father had their answer, but it was to come through Him. He was allowing the gifts of the Spirit to operate through Him.

There were times when He was teaching and preaching to the multitudes. It was at these times He had a message and was on a mission; however, when He was stopped, pressed or confronted in the mist of the multitudes He would respond to the situations and needs in a public setting; knowing that all eyes and ears were on Him.

He would listen to someone talk and tuning in to what they are saying, but all the while, listening and hearing to what The Holy Spirit had to say concerning; wisdom, direction and the “right” answer(s).

He was not afraid to speak the truth and to speak it boldly; nor was He concerned with what others would think of Him. Even their outward appearance, political views nor position in life could manipulate Him. He didn’t behave one way at one time and then another way at another time. He was consistent at all times; with all men.

This is the life I strive to walk. Allowing people to see Jesus in me; by loving all who cross my path and bringing God Glory.  Carol Helmick

Received this one on October 4, 2012; as I was meditating and praying about the path we were on and the next steps as a family we were to take. The question was, how one person gets from one point in their lives to another?

Proverbs 4:26 (AMP) Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright.

the path

There is a process which we all have to go through and it really does depend on what decisions we decide to make and the choices we take. We don’t just find ourselves on a certain path. The path that we are now walking on /in, was based on all the decisions that were made before and leading up to this very specific point in our life.

With every situation in life, choices are always presented. Sometimes it is only two to choose from and at other times there may be even more choices. All choices have a different outcome based on the options chosen.

This applies to every area of our lives.

Do we go left…right….stay…go…?

This is why it is so important to be Spirit led. Listening to The Holy Spirit, and checking in with Him about the choices and decisions that have presented themselves to us.

He knows what choices we need to make in order for us to get to the next step and phase in our lives. Not just as a family, but also as individuals.

In Ephesians 5:15 -17 (KJV)  is says for us to: “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is“.

When I’ve looked back at where we came from and how we got to where we are at now; it amazes me how our path looks. Hind sight is 20/20, and sometimes, when things weren’t clear and didn’t know the “whys and how did we end up here” questions; we had to ask ourselves why we did what we did. What was our motives for making these decisions?

I could see a huge difference; between the times that we prayed, diligently seeking His answers, listening to His instructions and paying attention to the choices and decisions that were presented. These were the ones that were more easier to choose from; and we ended up making the right one.

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Be blessed today as you choose to make the right choices.

Much love and prayers Carol Helmick.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found is the very first poem that I received from The Lord. He was dealing with me and my marriage; and He dropped this one into my heart; while waiting for my youngest son to get off the bus.

When you get busy with life, children, jobs and responsibilities and don’t take the time to keep your relationship sacred; then it can slip from being important and a priority. We allowed situations, emotions, hurts and losses in. At the time, we’d been married 8 years and had 2 young boys.

For us we weren’t living for Jesus. My husband wasn’t saved, and I was a very immature christian. This led to many hurtful words spoken towards each other. When you meditate on hurts and offenses; it could cause you to think that you don’t love the other person. This is where I was at…

I absolutely love my husband and know that He is the one for me, but each person in a marriage is just that… an individual. We married young and when your young you think that it’s all roses and sweetness. While that is true and you have wonderful times of intimacy and romance, there is also having to learn about each others personalities, likes and dislikes. We are both strong-willed, and had not always been considerate of each other.

And, If you’ve been married for any length of time you can testify to the fact that love isn’t just an emotion… It is a CHOICE!!!

You don’t always learn it right away, but you do learn it and remember it, if you are going to choose to stay and fight for your marriage; when things seem tough and your flesh is telling you it wants to run away instead.

I didn’t really know anything about love…that is the GOD kind of love. It is only by The Grace of God that He started showing me what real love is. I prayed and decided that I would CHOOSE to love and from that day forward, my journey began. I am so glad I didn’t run!!!  Much love and prayers. Carol Helmick
