Provision (Vicky Marinou)

This is what Vicky wrote in on 11/7/2018, 7:02 AM concerning ~” Provision (Vicky Marinou) “

Hello Carol!
I have lots of testimonies of God’s mercies and experiences that he has given me. He surely is close to the broken-hearted (Psalm 34:18), although I now consider myself the luckiest person in the world since he revealed himself to me.

One of my testimonies concerning His loving Provision (Vicky Marinou) is as follows:

I’ve had a tough childhood with a mostly absent father (who was/is a tyrant), and the last time I had spoken to him was in 1996 when he told me over the phone to F off. We live in different countries so I never really had much contact with him anyway and I hadn’t laid eyes on him since 1990 so I just pushed it to the back of my mind and continued on with my very harassed and hectic life.

The Father’s Blessing

In 2016, I was researching the father’s blessing and how important it is to receive it. I realized that I was still harboring some resentment (never hatred) against my father for just wiping his hands of me, and I knew how important it was for me to forgive him completely. So, it was around February when I made a prayer to God, saying that I choose to completely forgive my father and wish him all the best and if it was God’s will for me to see him again before he died (he is in his 80’s) then OK (not that I was desperately wanting to because, as I said, he is a bully). I also asked God himself to give me the father’s blessing since he was my father too.

Coincidence?

Then, in September, completely out of the blue, I’m at work and my father calls, after TWENTY years of complete silence, to tell me that his plane is landing in Athens in three days and ‘Will I pick him up or should he take a taxi’.
When he came he said that he had been thinking about us for the past few months (coincidence? I don’t think so. I’m not a coincidence theorist) and he decided to come and see us as he wanted to sort out his will (he didn’t even know I had lost my firstborn). To cut a loooong story short, he paid off my mortgage, finished off some building work that was needing doing in my flat, and this August he bought my, now eldest, daughter a flat of her very own.
God gave me much more than I asked. But that’s just who he is……

I’m sad that I will probably be missing the Tuesday and Thursday live sermons with you and Mike due to a change in my work schedule but I hope that I will find a way round it somehow. Will definitely be with you guys on Sunday..
I have more testimonies but God bless for now … XXXX
