FATHERS Relationship June 10

Relationship

FATHERS Relationship June 10 : Here are just a few examples of God’s remarks and conversations He has had with several MEN in the bible, who had a personal relationship with Him. You can tell that God had a close relationship with them and God specifically addresses each MAN as a MAN, and the Head of his household.

Did you know that God expects Men to have a relationship with Him and when He talks, He expects an answer. He does not want to hear excuses, but accepting ownership, accountability and taking full responsibility for their lives… and for all the people who are in their lives (those under his care / those who he is HEAD over).

All these men were married, and it is even recorded that The Lord talks to Sara, Abraham’s wife; but when the Lord is discussing Household matters; it is the Men of the House…The Head that He talks with first.

Examples of Relationship and Headship:

1. Abraham and God regularly conversed and God shared things with Abraham; because of their relationship and friendship with each other.

Gen 18:17 (amp) And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham [My friend and servant] what I am going to do,

2. Moses was in charge of and responsible for bringing all the children of Israel out of Egypt. God made him head over all and when the children of Israel rebelled and sinned, it was Moses who prayed to God for them and interceded for them on their behalf…That takes much courage, love, compassion, and anointing to walk in these shoes.

Exo 33:11 (amp) And the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Moses returned to the camp, but his minister Joshua son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the [temporary prayer] tent.
Exo 33:17 (amp) And the Lord said to Moses, I will do this thing also that you have asked, for you have found favor, loving-kindness, and mercy in My sight and I know you personally and by name.

God’s Directness with Man

3. Job was going through some terrible trials and persecution, and he had some wrong thinking and correction that he was about to be talked to about, from The Lord. The tone of voice that the Lord takes with him is very strong. When you read this and realize that Job was being expected to acknowledge and address his complaints; as well as, being confronted with his ignorance of some things.

There was to be no whining and excuses that The Lord wanted to hear. He was to address God as a man. It was his answers that mattered to God. God didn’t want to hear what his wife or any of his friends were saying. Job was supposed to take accountability and responsibility for himself ; since he was the HEAD of his house.

Job 40:6  Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, saying,
Job 40:7  Gird up your loins now like a man; I will demand of you, and you answer Me.

Anointed To be THE HEAD pt 2

4. Another instance of God and Abraham’s relationship and how Abraham showed HEADSHIP over his house.

Genesis 17:22  And God stopped talking with him and went up from Abraham.
Gen 17:23  And Abraham took Ishmael his son and all who were born in his house and all who were bought with his money, every male among [those] of Abraham’s house, and circumcised [them] the very same day, as God had said to him.
Gen 17:24  And Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised.
Genesis 17:25  And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised.
Gen 17:26  On the very same day Abraham was circumcised, and Ishmael his son as well.
Gen 17:27  And all the men of his house, both those born in the house and those bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised along with him.

Headship

What I find so amazing and fascinating is, that throughout the conversations, friendship, and relationship with God; this one MAN, who was and is HEAD over His own household carried out this whole entire commandment. He took full responsibility and didn’t give it to someone else to carry it out. And because of this…Gods covenant with him and between them was signed and sealed.

Every male was physically circumcised. There was physical pain involve and I’m sure that many MEN possibly wanted to argue and rebel against Abraham; however, He went through with the circumcisions ANYWAY. He made sure to obey and took leadership, responsibility and Headship over his own house and all that belonged to him. WOW, That must have been a really hard day for him to do this, but He knew that he had to obey to have this covenant with God that he was given.

Grateful

I am so thankful that he did; because I read what he did and I also get to see the results of his obedience. Obedience is extremely important and a major deal to God. Abraham’s obedience came about because he had submitted himself to The Lord Gods headship over him. He had placed himself in submission to the will of God for his and his family’s lives.

What do you think?
